1,1’-dithiobis (n,n-dimethylthio-formamid; 1,1’-dithiobis(n,n-dimethylthio formamide); Aapirol; Accel TMT; Accelerator T; Accelerator Thiuram; accelerator; accelerator thiuram.
The pure product is colorless crystal and has no odor. Easily soluble in benzene, chloroform (230g/L), acetone (80g/L, carbon disulfide and other organic solvents, slightly soluble in ether and ethanol (<10g/L), insoluble in water (30mg/L), decomposed in acid, color is white or light yellow powder.
The rubber accelerator TMTD is an excellent second accelerator for thiazole type accelerators. It can also be used together with other accelerators as accelerators for continuous vulcanization colloidal particles. Usually, it can also be used in combination with accelerator MBT(M). The vulcanization of butyl rubber is basically similar. The accelerator is mainly used in the manufacture of tires, inner tubes, rubber shoes, medical supplies, cables, industrial rubber products, etc. It is used as a fungicide and insecticide in agriculture, and can also be used as a lubricant additive.
